A person may not think of Poverty or Oppression as being a Disability but this is the way Young Svetlana feels about where she lives. All day long every day this young girl works in the factory, dreaming of her Career as Fashion Designer. The biggest obstacle she has found is being able to purchase fabrics for her Designs. Viewing these images you will not see quantity, but Quality. Svetlana works one week on a garment but to buy the fabric, just one meter of precious fabric takes an entire months wages. Currently Svetlana's parents have lost their jobs so she is taking care of the whole family. As you can imagine, this might limit the time and funds needed to move forward with any new collections. Svetlana has won Awards in two countries for her Designs. She has never been to Fashion Design School. It is her dream to have a Mentor and American Host who might be able to provide the assistance she would need to attend Fashion Design College in the United States.
