People come here to see the Beautiful Award Winning Art and Artists. Artists who despite great pain and suffering, despite relentless fatigue, despite limitations so severe that all they could do is blink or move one tiny muscle create beautiful and amazing artwork. Do not think for one moment that any person with a disability is content to just merely exist from day to day with no hopes or dreams for that is not even close to the truth. The Artists whom you will meet on this site work very hard on there art, are serious artists, and do serious work. Some work at art to supplement a dismal income and other's work as Artists full time. Art is one of the things within reach that is a realistic career goal for those with disabilities. There are multiple ways to contact Artists directly in regard to purchasing art or inviting them to participate in art events or contests. Please do not assume that Artists with disability's are in any position to give there work away as they are often contacted by organizations to donate there work. From time to time, new emerging artists do this but reputable organizations always offer a percent of the sale or auction to the Artist.
Some of these Artists have gone on to appear on television, on the front pages of magazines, on talk shows, newspapers, websites, eBooks, Art Gallery's and many more places of honor and distinction.
People used to think that once disabled, a person stopped contributing to society or doing outstanding things. As people visit this site and get to know the Artists, they come to realize that there are many things you can do in spite of a disability and some people with disabilities can do things even better then there non disabled counterparts in some individual situations.
This site was created to help promote disability arts and to give Artists with Disability's a platform to show, share and sell there artwork. Some of the Artists on this site have become extremely popular and many new Artist's joining will become just as popular. Disabled Artists Network's first Art Exhibit to Help Raise Money for Homeless Children in the Ukraine
Art Collector Eric Farley with date Lori stands behind Artist Jack Brandt whose painting was purchased by Eric at the Art Exhibit.
Pictured above is Master Jeweler Arlee with Mary and the homeless Elementary School Age Children they help who live outdoors in the Ukraine. Disabled Artist Members shipped in over $10,000.00 in art worldwide to sell at the Event to raise money for these children with high hopes of keeping these children indoors for the Winter.
Hundreds of Vero Beach Florida's finest citizens showed up to enjoy the fun, food and festivities provided compliments of Gracious Hosts Longevity Fitness Club owners Mr. & Mrs. Pfiester and Disabled Artists Network. Local Channel 10 news came to record the event and shared it with viewers week long. The Talley's entertained Vero Beach citizens with there beautiful piano duet's and Dawn of Tropic Art and Frame provided a beautiful frame for one of the works of art done by Malinda Mc Clure at the event.
